Bio

He has more than 15 years of experience in Opera, Theater, Dance, Ballet, and Music. 

He studied film, television and video, with a specialization in lighting design at the European Institute of Design in Barcelona, Spain.

He is currently the Head of Lighting at Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo in Bogota, Colombia.

SHOWS

Jheison’s Lighting Designs include: Der Rosenkavalier by Richard Strauss, Falstaff by Giuseppe Verdi; Fidelio by Ludwig van Beethoven and Orpheus & Euridice by Christoph Gluck under the Artistic Direction of Alejandro Chacón; Candide by Leonard Bernstein; A Midsummer Night’s Dream by Benjamin Britten and Salomé by Richard Strauss under the  Artistic Direction of Joan Anton Rechi; Animal Family and  SacrifiXio of Colegio del Cuerpo, Choreographers Alvaro Restrepo and Marie France Delieuvin; Carmina Burana by Carl Orff under the Direction of Tino Fernández and Juliana Reyes;  and the lyric-theatrical performance "¿In The Dark Times Will There Also Be Singing?" Under the artistic direction of Pedro Salazar, among others.

In 2012, He was the assistant of the lighting designer Eli Sirlin from the Opera La Cenerentola of Gioachino Rossini produced by the Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
